WHITE HINTERLAND Premieres “No Logic” Remix, Shares “Amsterdam” Video, Kicks Off International Tour

Like the subtly deep, slowburn dream-pop R&B found on the album, WHITE HINTERLAND’S Kairos has calmly, cooly been winning over hearts of music fan and critic alike. It seems with each day, a new champion of Kairos steps forward. NPR selected Kairos’ opener “Icarus” as its Song of the Day, saying of the jam: “It’s hypnagogic, certainly, but also transformative — these are the sort of reveries that can feed an appetite for wanderlust or make listeners ache for home, depending on the context.”
Meanwhile, in an interview with Casey Dienel, Venus Zine called Kairos “the most contemporary thing that you will hear all year…The influences are apparent, but not overwrought—and the album as a whole sounds complete and definitively unique.”
And lovely remixes of the album have been popping up like Spring lilies in our inboxes. But none have quite captured our hearts like that of NYC electronic artist Alan Wilkis, whose Stereolab-hinting reimagining of Kairos standout “No Logic” fills the originally sparse, jerky-dub track with a chirpy bounce and warm synth melodies. In March, our friends at Stereogum premiered the Michaela Copikova-directed video for Kairos deep-cut “Amsterdam,” calling the song “rainy, romantic.” Watch the video for “Amsterdam.”
