New Video “Love is All” from The Tallest Man on Earth

The new video for “Love is All” (from the album The Wild Hunt), features vintage Super 8 footage compiled by director Johan Stolpe. So often The Tallest Man on Earth’s music is said to be informed by the American landscape, but to watch the video for “Love is All” is to look into those preconceptions and have the images display another side of Kristian Matsson’s origin.

I love the lyrics for this song, so I’m posting them after the break!

Love is all

I walk upon the river
like it’s easier than land
evil’s in my pocket,
your will, is in my hand

I throw it in the current
that I stand upon so still
Love is all, from what I’ve heard,
but my heart’s learnt to kill

I said I could rise
from the harness of our goals
here come the tears
but like always,
I let them go

And now spikes will keep on falling
from the heavens to the floor
future was our skin,
now we don’t dream anymore

Our house were built from all these webs
and clouds were rolling in
you bet, this mighty river’s both
my savior and my sin

I said I could rise
from the harness of our goals
here come the tears
but like always,
I let them go

I walk upon the river
like it’s easier than land
evil’s in my pocket,
your strength, is in my hand

I throw you in the current
that I stand upon so still
Love is all, from what I’ve heard,
but my heart’s learnt to kill
my heart’s learnt to kill
