Citay Performs as Mission of Burma in Tribute to ’80s Underground

Be sure to stop by the NPR site this week to hear Citay perform as Mission of Burma in a concert celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Michael¬†Azerrad’s book¬†Our Band Could Be Your Life. The book chronicles the careers of 13 underground rock bands who changed the music landscape between 1981 and 1991, and a recent concert in New York City paid homage to these artists with cover sets by 14 contemporary indie artists. In addition to Citay, the evening offered performances from St. Vincent, Ted Leo, tUnE-yArDs, Wye Oak and more. Stream the whole show and read more about it HERE.
