Japanese Breakfast Shares Live Video for “Heft”

With Japanese Breakfast right at the beginning of their European tour, we’re happy to share the live video for fan-favorite track “Heft”, taken from this year’s critically acclaimed album Psychopomp (out now on Dead Oceans/Yellow K).

Another deeply personal track, from an album that deals with the transitory cycle of grief, “Heft” is about 2 moments in time – related, but different. “The first half of half was written right before we found out my mom had cancer, and the second half was written after she passed away”, Michelle Zauner – the creator of Japanese Breakfast – states, “reflecting on what a painful process it was to try to manage disease and treatment.”

Japanese Breakfast is back in Europe now, kicking off her tour in the UK. See full dates below!
