Filmed at Minneapolis’ Cedar Cultural Center and produced by Dan Huiting, the session features Bowerbirds in yet another wonderful performance of “This Year,” off their third album, The Clearing. While in Minneapolis a few weeks ago, Bowerbirds met with North Shore Sessions to perform a couple of songs in the warehouse district. The chosen location turned out to be perfect, providing ideal acoustics for the music at hand. Vocal harmonies blend together without flaw and carry through the vast, open space. What transpired is a beautiful, jaw-dropping performance of “Overcome With Light” and “Brave World.” Watch above.

Step FIVE: Go home and listen to your new music!
We will pick a handful of photos and notify winners the following Monday. Winners will receive some sweet Dead Oceans vinyl care packs.
Our last bit of RSD news! Both the Bowerbirds and The Tallest Man On Earth have exclusive Record Store Day releases coming out. Keep your eye out for King of Spain 12″, featuring King of Spain and dual b-sides of Paul Simon’s “Graceland” and The Tallest Man on Earth’s own “Where I Thought I Met the Angels.” A new Bowerbirds 7″, with The Clearing‘s “In the Yard” and a b-side of “Always An Ear to Bend” will also be available.
