Akron/Family Win Hearts With Performance at Grand Street Bakery, Featured on All Songs Considered

What a treat! Akron/Family stopped by Brooklyn’s Grand Street Bakery for a two-song performance. Fader was there to catch the band in all their glory. You can watch “Until The Morning” above and “When I Was Young” below. Both songs are off AF’s recently released Sub Verses, available now at iTunes, SC Distribution and Amazon.

You can also check out “the brilliantly experimental folk-rock band” on the latest broadcast of NPR’s All Songs Considered. Their song “Sand Talk” is the featured track.

The Akron boys are playing Portland’s Mississippi Studios on May 22, with a handful of West Coast dates to follow. Come July, the band is headed to Europe. Check out all their tour dates HERE.

Akron/Family Perform “Samurai” for Audio-Files

Akron/Family have taken Robert Pinsky’s “Samurai Song” poem and adapted it for an outstanding performance in the music documentary tv-show, Audio-Files. You can watch the video above! The song is just one part of the Akron episode, which airs tonight. Show details available at BYUTV.
