NPR’s World Cafe brings you a brand new live session from Bear In Heaven. Host David Dye invited BiH on the show to perform three songs: “The Reflection of You,” “Sinful Nature” and “Warm Water,” all from 2012′s I Love You, It’s Cool. When streaming, you will also have access to a web exclusive performance of “Cool Light.”
Vesper Magazine shares a sweet video of Bear In Heaven performing “The Reflection of You” live in New York City. WARNING! It’s almost IMPOSSIBLE to sit still while watching this video. Jon’s dancing like his life depends on it and he couldn’t have a bigger smile on his face while doing so. Adam and Joe are grooving right there with him too. What better way to end your Thursday? There isn’t one!! Watch above.
The boys are currently on tour in Europe. Check out all their dates HERE.
Premiering earlier this morning on Pitchfork, Bear In Heaven’s new video for “Sinful Nature,” off their third album I Love You, It’s Cool, encapsulates an acid trip induced version of the feature film Pretty Woman. Director David Yoonha Park based the video on his first experience with LSD: “a panic-inducing experience” that skated between watching the Masters tournament and failing to bring down the trip with the tape. BiH wanted something dark, feminine and trippy and the music video is just that; women clad in 80s garb promenade around the set, with shots of creepy manikins intermittently placed for quite a weird viewing experience. Premiering earlier today on Stereogum, Anika and BestMate transform Bear In Heaven’s “Sinful Nature” into a futuristic, space-romp. Stream and download the remix below, plus give “Sinful Nature” a listen in its original form.
