Mt St Helens Vietnam Band’s Benjamin Verdoes Performs on Local Seattle TV for Noise for the Needy

Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band is performing at the Noise for the Needy Festival in Seattle this Saturday June 12 at The Vera Project. Yesterday morning lead singer Benjamin Verdoes made an appearance on New Day NW the local morning news talk show on Seattle’s King 5. Watch above, as Ben does a beautiful solo version of “At Night” from their most recent record Where The Messengers Meet as well as sitting down and talking about the band and festival. MSHVB’s drummer Marshall Verdoes also makes an appearance on the show, looking pretty slick in a nice blazer. In addition to Noise for the Needy you can also catch MSHVB live this Friday June 11 at the Floyd Norgaard Historic Center in Stanwood, WA.

Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band Invade Your Backyard in New Video

Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band’s new video for “Leaving Trails” is a dark and twisting tale that unfolds like a nightmare version of a backyard barbeque. The band members follow an ever turning camera, schizophrenically splitting into multiples of themselves, while random people and ghostly objects come and go. It has the effect of a David Lynch project, where a proper narrative remains elusive, but enough space is left to allow your mind to connect things in its own way. The video was directed by the That Go team, Noel Paul and Stefan Moore. Mt. St. Helens Vietnam Band open for Dismemberment Plan at the Showbox Sodo in Seattle tomorrow (Saturday March 12), go check em out.
