ALBUM RELEASE // Julianna Barwick “Nepenthe” Out Today

Beyond proud to release Julianna Barwick‘s new album, Nepenthe, today in stores and online! Produced by Sigor Ros‘s Alex Somers in Iceland, Julianna’s layered angelic vocals loop in and out of expansive compositions meant to represent the sorrow and sadness she faced before and during the album’s recording, but also reflect the stark beauty and loneliness of Iceland in what Nathan Shaffer of Tiny Mix Tapes calls “profound and giving music.”

All this week you can stream Julianna’s third full-length album, Nepenthe, via Gorilla Vs Bear. Order the new album at SCD, iTunes, Amazon, and your local record store.

Read more below for early reviews, her in-studio performance of “Forever” live on WNYC’s Soundcheck, and info on her album release show tonight plus tour dates through late Fall.
