WATCH // A Place To Bury Strangers – “And I’m Up,” Coming Soon to a City Near You

When the video you’re about to watch is centered around the idea of an “Action Figure Destruction Derby,” you know you’re in for a real treat. Directed by animator Karl Ackermann, brother to Oliver, the new A Place To Bury Strangers video for “And I’m Up” represents a coming of age – a foray into adulthood. What better way to do so than blow up a bunch of toys and marvel at their twisted beauty? Enjoy above or at VICE.

The “And I’m Up” b/w “Don’t Stop” 7″ is now available at SC Distribution. Best part? It’s on translucent orange vinyl.

A Place To Bury Strangers head back out on tour with Bleeding Rainbow on Saturday, October 27 at Richmond’s Strange Matter. Dates include a stop at Austin’s Fun Fun Fun Fest and M Pour Montreal. Check out the full schedule HERE.

WATCH // A Place To Bury Strangers Release Self-Produced Video, Plus New Tour Dates

A Place To Bury Strangers bring you their new, self-produced video for “Leaving Tomorrow” off Worship. Based on Momo Fujiwara’s short story, “Katsu Gee,” the video stars Dion as Handsome Saviour of Mankind, Robi as Wizard and Oliver as Terry. Filmed on an iPhone with the 8mm app, they chose Central Park and APTBS headquarters, Death By Audio, as their set. Close friend, Sam Donahue, also got in on the fun, lending his hand in camera operation and props. Watch at SPIN or above.

In addition to their video, A Place To Bury Strangers announce new tour dates. They’re currently playing in Europe now and will end their overseas run with shows in Russia and Greece. Upon returning, they’ll end the year with coast-to-coast US dates! New shows posted below, with full list and ticket links HERE. Read the rest of this entry »

Praise for Worship

“A Place to Bury Strangers have offered up another winning album that, while hardly the most pop-friendly record you’ll hear this year, proves itself worthy of revisiting.” – Consequence of Sound

“It’s cleaner, sharper, the scree of noise is more glassy sheets rather than an amorphous squall. It is, according to bassist Dion Lunadon, ‘Our vision of what music in 2012 should sound like,’ and if you can imagine a future dystopian parallel to today where this is the mainstream, then you have just imagined something very cool indeed. – NOISEY

A Place To Bury Strangers head to the Metallica music festival, Orion Music & More, this weekend.
