WATCH // A Place To Bury Strangers Share “Straight” Video Dir. By Brook Linder, New Album ‘Transfixiation’ Out 2/17/15

A few weeks ago we announced Brooklyn’s A Place To Bury Strangers will be releasing a new album Transfixation February 17th, 2015. We previewed the first single “Straight” a few weeks ago, and today the band shared a brand new video for the track by director Brook Linder. Inspired by VHS scrambles and the creepy Max Headroom broadcast in 1987, watch the new VHS-dubbed video above or here on YouTube and Dailymotion for our international viewers.

Pre-order the album via Secretly Distribution, iTunes, Amazon, and your local record store.

The band has also announced a string of upcoming European and North American tour dates including a performance at next year’s Austin Psych Fest in May.. Click read more to see all tour dates.

ALBUM ANNOUNCE // A Place To Bury Strangers ‘Transfixiation’ Out 2/17/15, Hear “Straight”, See New European + North American Tour Dates

After two years of constant touring and recording, Brooklyn’s A Place To Bury Strangers will release their new album Transfixiation Feb. 17, 2015 via Dead Oceans. Transfixiation, the fourth album from the band, is a bold experimental step forward. Rather than fixating on precious recording techniques and minute details, the members of the group – guitarist/singer Olvier Ackermann, bassist Dion Lunadon, and hard-hitting drummer Robi Gonzalez – trusted their instincts and tried to keep things as pure as possible. Check out single “Straight” above, or listen on Soundcloud / YouTube.

Pre-order the album via Secretly Distribution, iTunes, Amazon, and your local record store.

The band has also announced a string of upcoming European and North American tour dates. Click read more to see album art, track listing, and all tour dates.
