John Vanderslice Featured Subject of Noisepop Art Event, Set to Play Festival February 23

Interested in seeing some awesome photos of John Vanderslice in person? You’ll have to head to San Francisco, but here’s your chance. Photographer Peter Ellenby brings us DC/JV, an extensive collection of Death Cab for Cutie and Vanderslice portaits taken during the last fifteen years. Presented as a historical documentation of two varied, but undoubtedly successful musical careers, “DC/JV presents its subjects’ stories intimately, through the eyes of a photographer who has been there since the beginning.” A Noisepop Art Event brought to you by San Franpsycho, DC/JV’s opening reception takes place on February 2, followed by a festival reception on February 23.

As the official photographer for Noise Pop Festival, Peter Ellenby will also showcase his festival photos in celebration of it’s twentieth anniversary. Vanderslice, who as Ellenby describes him, “is like the glue that holds SF’s music scene together, will perform in Noise Pop Festival on February 23 at Bottom of the Hill. In the meantime, preview DC/JV HERE.
