Phosphorescent Play O+ Festival in Kingston NY

handsPhosphorescent are thrilled to be performing at the O+ Festival in Kingston, NY this coming Friday, October 8th. The O+ Festival is a weekend of art and live music (Oct. 8 – 10, 2010) in Kingston, NY. It’s also a weekend health care clinic for participating uninsured artists, and a public health resource expo where festival patrons can connect with doctors and health organizations to learn about affordable health insurance options and health resources available to them. The O+ Festival is a celebration of art and music in Uptown Kingston that creates a bridge to access health care for artists. O+ fosters complete physical, mental and social well-being by connecting artists directly with a coalition of health care providers and health resources, in a shared vision to nurture the individual and the community. Phosphorescent are excited to participate in such a worthwhile event. Read more about the festival at their website.

Phosphorescent to Perform a Sweet Show in Brooklyn

Sugar_art_postcard Hey Brooklyn, how would you like to be serenaded and hear a story?

In August Phosphorescent will join author and essayist Sloane Crosley for an evening in the Show Off Your Sugar: One Band + One Author event series. Each event features a reading from an author, followed by a musical performance.

Sondre Lerche shared the stage with writer Shalom Auslander in June, and on August 11 Here We Go Magic will play after a reading from Chuck Klosterman. Phosphorescent takes the stage for an acoustic set on August 19 at 8pm at CoCo66 (66 Greenpoint Avenue in Brooklyn). Tickets are $16 and all the money goes to a good cause! The proceeds go to the 826NYC non-profit writing center, formed by Dave Eggers in 2002 to benefit  New York City students. Get your tickets & find more info HERE.
