WATCH: New Video for A Place To Bury Strangers’ “You Are The One,” “Worship” Pre-order Available Today

A Place To Bury Strangers release a new video for “You Are The One,” off their forthcoming album, Worship. The video premiered on SPIN earlier today. Directing duo Matt Moroz & Tracy Maurice deliver a twisted nightmare in this grindhouse-esque clip produced by Greencard Pictures. Shot on 16mm film, their dark, experimental style expertly mirrors the mood of APTBS’s track and elevates the music video to a cinematic noir thriller.

Moroz and Maurice’s creation recalls a 70s-era, B-movie that is definitley Not Safe For Work. The duo says, “We really loved the song. The video evoked something extremely dark, weird and disturbing.” In it, the viewer follows a mysterious figure as he viciously beats total strangers, leers at nubile young girls at an underground club, and initiates a blood-soaked make-out session. Watch above.

Starting today, you can pre-order A Place To Bury Strangers’ new album, Worship. They are offering a pretty sweet deluxe bundle just for you; it includes the album on limited edition (while supplies last) “blue death” vinyl and CD, 7″ vinyl edition of You Are the One / I Can Feel Your Heart Inside My Head, early gratification download code supplied for full album (redeemable on June 11th), a 17×22 poster featuring album artwork and finally, you’ll be entered to win a Death By Audio ‘Fuzz War’ effects pedal made by Oliver of APTBS.

Pre-order Worship from SC Distribution.

Watch Gauntlet Hair’s New Video for “Keep Time”

We have a brand new music video for Gauntlet Hair’s “Keep Time” that premiered today at SPIN.com. Directed and produced by Bernardo Pantoja and Skyler Stevenson for Wooden Lens, the video features mirror-eyed ghouls that come to live at night. The ghouls are hunted by another entity and prowl the streets (shot in SE industrial-sector Portland). The goal for Wooden Lens was to “echo the beautiful texture and disturbing tone” of the song, and color me disturbed – this video is so scary and cool!

Gauntlet Hair was a huge critical highlight of CMJ 2011, praised by PopMatters, Pretty Much Amazing, Brooklyn Vegan, and Stereogum. After the jump, watch two live videos of Gauntlet Hair performing at The Fader Fort.
