Jensen McRae Announces I Don’t Know How But They Found Me…Again! (Deluxe) Featuring Brandi Carlile, Brittney Spencer and Maisie Peters

Jensen McRae announces I Don’t Know How But They Found Me…Again! (Deluxe), the deluxe version of her acclaimed 2025 album I Don’t Know How But They Found Me!, out July 24 digitally and Oct 9 on vinyl via Dead Oceans. Also shared today is new single and recent live favorite of McRae’s “Just Like You” alongside a video by director Lexi Brown.

Alongside the original album’s tracklist, the Deluxe release features twelve new songs widely available for the first time: stripped-back versions of songs written before the recording of I Don’t Know How But They Found Me! had finished, live favorites heard on McRae’s recent headline tours and festival appearances, a new version of “Mother Wound” featuring Maisie Peters as well as tracks elsewhere featuring contributions from Brandi Carlile and Brittney Spencer

On the new songs, McRae explains:

“There were so many songs I wrote after writing but before we finished recording the second album that still felt like they lived in this world–very much coming to terms with the reality that no one was going to save me from myself, and that healing is something I would ultimately have to do on my own. I think the sparseness aptly reflects the solitude that is required of that kind of healing–although there are of course a couple songs that required a team to put together and feel right.”

On the “Just Like You” video, director Lexi Brown says:

“We wanted to pay homage to all of the lives you live when healing from a relationship, or any experience that changes you, while still leaning into fun and joy, as pop music so often does. One of our Producers, Armand Troy, pulled some stills from Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic” music video during the brainstorming process, and the visuals sparked from there.

The visuals on “Just Like You” are a homage to Alanis, one of the giants of songwriting, while simultaneously being a fun, quippy way to wrap up the story of IDKHBTFM. The song is FUN and we wanted to create something where joy can translate — not only as an auditory experience, but also a visual one.”

Jensen McRae is also embarking on a North America tour this fall. All dates are below.
