Phoebe Bridgers has announced a deluxe digital reissue of her acclaimed debut album, Stranger In The Alps. Featuring two additional tracks — a cover of Tom Petty’s “It’ll All Work Out” and a demo of “Motion Sickness” — the reissue will be released on October 2, 2018.
In addition to being announced as the fall cover star of The FADER (read the story here), Bridgers also released a video for standout album track “Scott Street,” and the Alex Lill-directed clip can now be seen below.
Bridgers recently won the AIM Award for International Breakthrough Of The Year for Stranger In The Alps, which was among the most-heralded releases of 2017, earning spots on year-end lists including The FADER (‘#1 Best New Artist of 2017’), Noisey, Bandcamp, and Uproxx, in addition to catching praise from Pitchfork, NPR Music, Billboard, Vulture, Stereogum, The A.V. Club, NY Mag’s Vulture, and W Magazine, among many others.
Bridgers has spent the majority of the year on tour throughout North America, Europe, and the UK — seeing sellouts in nearly every city played — and will head back out on the road later this month, beginning with two nights supporting The National at The Hollywood Palladium. Following a run of October dates supporting Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, in November she will join up with Julien Baker for a co-headline tour, with Lucy Dacus opening. A current itinerary is below.
Bridgers’ band with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, boygenius, will release their self-titled debut EP on November 9th via Matador Records.
